Does Blue Microphones Mikey 2.0 Works with iPad or iPhone 4G?
Unfortunately the Blue Microphones Mikey is not compatible. The iPad and iPhone 4 has a 30-pin connector, however, the pin out on that 30 pin doesn’t include an analog audio input that the Mikey utilizes. The Blue Mikey microphone is an excellent choice for recording on an iPod Touch. All distinct sound nuances are easily picked up with rich, bright clarity.I was looking to record my gigs (Music shows) and it works GREAT!My ipod nano 5th gen has a video camera built into it. Only problem was the tiny built-in microphone was always distorded no matter what. I tried to buy a “4 pin converter” for Ipod to External MIC from best buy but was always so much hassle and the connection was hard to get to work from all the conversions needed.
I am still recording several hours of lectures a day, and i am still getting great results. In fact i was so impressed by it that i recently bought a unit for my girlfriend, so she too would have a handy way of recording high quality lectures in class.
